FICCI Dialogue For Actionable Insights (FIDAI) by FICCI and IAMC

On August 20th, 2022 The International Arbitration & Mediation Centre ( IAMC Hyderabad) in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry ( FICCI ), Hyderabad hosted a Fireside chat with legal luminaries Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, Chief Justice for the High Court of Telangana and Hon’ble Mr. Justice L. Nageswara Rao, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India on the Importance of ADR from the perspective of Ease of Doing Business. 

The session was attended by titans of Telangana industry as well as legal practitioners in the ADR space who bore witness to a candid exchange of opinion regarding the legal fraternity’s contribution to improving ease of business in India. 

Mr. Tariq Khan, Registrar, IAMC, Hyderabad in his closing remarks, stressed on the need for a dedicated arbitration bar as recommended in the Shri Krishna Committee Report to enhance the practice of arbitration and ensure that it no longer played second fiddle to litigation as an alternate dispute resolution mechanism but should be seen as a more appropriate dispute resolution method.

The event concluded with a networking lunch of the honored dignitaries and delegates.
