IAMC Arbitrators Conclave 2025
On 9 November 2025, IAMC Hyderabad hosted an evening discussion led by Justice B. Sudershan Reddy, joined by senior mediators and arbitrators, to reflect on the Centre’s expanding role and the evolving landscape of mediation in India. Justice Reddy opened the session by highlighting the growing relevance of institutional mediation and the importance of strengthening IAMC’s contribution to the field.
The discussion covered IAMC’s long-term vision and future areas of growth. Participants spoke about expanding the Centre’s service offerings, exploring new domains of work, and deepening engagement across sectors. There was a shared emphasis on developing IAMC’s capacity to support a wide range of mediation and dispute-resolution needs, while continuing to build partnerships for infrastructure and skill development.
The group also discussed ways to strengthen the broader mediation ecosystem. Attendees reflected on nurturing emerging mediators through academic collaborations, supporting early-resolution mechanisms within organisations, and building on the encouraging level of court-referred matters coming to mediation in Hyderabad.

Participants shared insights on areas where mediation has been particularly effective—from commercial and corporate disputes to insolvency-related matters—while noting the distinct considerations that arise in government and public-sector disputes. The conversation highlighted the importance of transparent appointment practices, strong accreditation standards, continuous professional development, and the integration of technology and AI-enabled tools to enhance procedural efficiency.
The evening concluded with a shared recognition of the Centre’s role in supporting the growth of mediation in India. The session reflected a collective commitment to strengthening IAMC as an independent, accessible, and forward-looking institution dedicated to advancing high-quality dispute resolution.
