Justice B. Sudershan Reddy (born 8 July 1946) is a distinguished former Justice of the Supreme Court of India and the first Lokayukta of Goa.
Justice Reddy completed his early education in Hyderabad and earned his law degree from Osmania University in 1971. He began his legal career focusing on Civil and Constitutional matters, practicing under K. Pratap Reddy, a Senior Advocate of the Andhra Pradesh High Court. On 8 August 1988, he was appointed as Government Pleader in the High Court and later served as the Additional Standing Counsel for the Central Government. Justice R.V. Raveendran enrolled as an advocate in March 1968 and was appointed as a Permanent Judge of the Karnataka High Court in February 1993. He was appointed as the Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court in July 2004. He was elevated to the Supreme Court in September 2005 and had a six-year long tenure, before retiring in October 2011. Post-retirement, he has been acting as an arbitrator in several domestic & international arbitrations & has also been appointed by the Supreme Court & the Indian Government on various committees.
